Introduction
————-As of late, my insashiable appetite for making games has returned. After a couple months without even touching game maker, I've decided to give game making another shot. My friend Pat (Inf1u3nza) and I previously tried to make games, but to no avvail. Now, hopefully, with the help of the experts here on 64digits.com, my friend and I can start making good games.History and Goals——————–I've been using Game Maker for about 2 years now (not constantly, just messsing around with it every now and then) and have decided to get serious. I know only the basics of Game Maker, and would really like to learn more. (So I'm not a dead weight when it coems to project :P) I'm not too bad at video games, (1.6 K/D ratio on Halo 3) and I hope to be just as good as making video games as I am playing them. I would like to get a job one day making these stupid things, and I figure now is a good time to start.Random———Well, I'm a freshman in high school, (the same high school as Inf1u3nza) I have a 360, and lots of homework. There really isn't much more to say. To wrap things up, I would really like to get good at game making and any advice you could give me would be helpful as hell.
welcome to the worlds biggest online nerd convention!
Welcome to 64D. The best advice I can give you is to not give up….EVER!!!! Even when you get really frustrated (trust me, it'll happen a lot) don't stop tinkering. Even if you give up a project, don't give up game making. The other piece of advice I can give you, is to learn GML first. D&D is nice, but it'll come in much more handy to learn GML (makes it easier in the long run.) Well, not much more I can really think of (short of making the largest post in history). If you ever need help, PM me. I'd be glad to help where I can.
~TDOT>Ahahahahahahahahahahhaha, now my threats over XBL are no longer empty! ^_^
