Command & Conquer 3

After looking forward to the new addition to the CnC series for quite some time, I ordered 2 copies of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars w/ free t-shirts the other day - one for me, and one for a friend, as a (late) birthday present.

When they came I was surprised to find that the free t-shirt was LARGE. When I ordered them there was no choice of size, so I just assumed that they would be medium size… but they were both 'large'; alas, they were too big for me, for I am by no means large. I think they are prejudice towards the gaming community, and assume we are all fat. Either that or they reason that fat people provide more advertising space, I don't know.

Anyway that certainly did not detract from the game's awesomeness; It is one hell of a fun game. I will probably struggle to communicate with you the game's flawless gameplay, and the amount of fun it is, so I wont bother. Instead I will provide you folk with screenys. (resized so they don't stretch the page)

Summary: Real time strategy at it's best.

Halo 3 Beta

So after coming back home today, I find out that my brother has been invited to the internal Halo 3 beta.

It turns out he submitted a bug report to Bungie one day, and received a Halo 3 beta pass, that is only for Bungie's 'family & friends'. So all of his Xbox live friends are really jealous that he gets to play Halo 3 three days before anyone else.

He sat down and played Halo 3 multiplayer with other Bungie family & friends, with me as a guest, and we didn't stop until we were too hungry and had to get some food.

It was the most amazing experience ever. The game is so fun its just ridiculous. The control scheme had changed since Halo 2, and it took us a while to get used to, but when we did, we totally owned everyone. Just like the good ol' Halo 2 days, but with awesome new weapons and items like the spartan laser, brute spikers, and bubble shields (like in the teaser trailer), on awesome new gametypes like 'VIP', which is brilliant fun by the way.

Summary: Halo 3 owns

School

School is sucking at the moment. I am under a lot of pressure to get loads coursework done before the end of half term, which is 2 weeks away. Now 2 weeks seems a long time, but not when you have 4 large-ish assignments.

This is also the reason why I have not yet done any work to my 64D contest game. I seriously doubt I will finish it for the deadline, so I will probably be out. >__>
