YAYZ4ME!
I've just been told that not only can I have a shiny new computer this christmas, I get to choose the specs. this time! I'm not sure if it'd be cheaper to go for ready made, or a custom one (No reccomending building my own out of car tyres and mars bar wrappers, I don't have that level of skill), but I'm looking for something to perfectly blend price and power.Basicly, If I can run things like Portal and HL2, also being able to run Ubuntu Linux, while giving ~1.5 gigs of RAM over to a shiny VirtualBox, with XP in it, to run GM, and other Windoze onle things. In any case, if DF81 makes good of his promise to make ENIGMA cross-platform, I won't need GM, so it'll just be for other Windoze things.Yay! I'll be able to 'quit mah yappin' about having a crappy PC!P.S. To serprex (If you aint serprex,GTFO): I deactivated most of my plugins, and killed Foxy…I managed to fix it though, in safe mode(FF's SM, not M$'s) and it now opens much quicker, if not having a noticable effect on performance, so thank you!P.S. again, anyone want to MSN? phazon_yoshi@hotmail.co.uk
Good for you!
YAEZ4JOO! DISBMASPEELIN!
Yay for me, Luigi!
(P.S. Yo, C-A, have you just returned? You seem more active than before…)In any case, any help on choosing a mega-compy?Build it yourself. Dont be an ignorant prefab-noob, as you will most likely get ripped off.
I can't build one myself!
Seriously, I'd break it, I'm sure, and I have no need to…BTW, by prefab, does that mean custom ones are better? If you don't know how to build a computer, you'll have ato get a prefab one, and you'll probably get ripped off.
If you can find someone else that can build you a pc with the parts you want, there you go.I thought you didn't exist.
Hmm, I don't.
Sorry, but we're all mad anyway, talking to ourselves on a non-existant blog seems fine.In any case, if I am to be ripped off, it seems, how can I be ripped off the least?Or be like me and get a computer for cheap because you find someone who wants to just get rid of dead weight
Otherwise, build your own. If I ever got an up to date computer, it'd be custom. Do you really want to pay someone to stick cards into slots? Also, you are the welcomes. Go as low as you can go, because redundancy isn't redundant, tis wasteI don't get that last statement.
Hmm, I supose I -could- look into building my own…No idea if my parent''s would let me, though, they'd likely scream 'WITCHCRAFT' and burn me.
