Shocker as PY joins fad!

OK, let's get this straight, I don't listen to enough music to do a music blog, nor movies, for a movie blog, so I'm-a do a videogame blog.

You've hopefully heard of most of them, they're not too odd <_<

lets start with my platform of choice, the PC.

First up, half life, both 1, 2, and the episodes. Not the deepest of shooters, but the story and atmosphere is second to none in it's genre, and the gunplay isn't half bad either. Episode two is fairly pretty, too.

Then, I'd have to go for Bioshock, a very nice story woven into there, along with some very nice plasmid usage. Guns are crap, though, and I have a stupid amount of ammo which I'll never use, except for taking down big daddies, where exploding shotgun shells seem to do the trick.

Deus Ex, one of the greatest FPSRPGs ever, need I say more?

Gmod, it's, like, Gmod. seriously. My cracked version has really rubbish online, so most of the time I'm on singleplayer, but… it's still awesome, and no mingebags <_< except me, when I blow up my cherished creation by throwing a car into the exploding barrel :D :D :D

:D

Nintendoes:

Metroid Prime. Metroid Prime. Metroid Prime.

That's the gamecube section, it takes my top 3.

A brilliantly atmospheric game, with well designed controls, fantastic level design, enemy variety, a wide range of power-ups, and, of course, some of the best 3D exporation ever made. Ever.

Super Metroid is my favorite 2D game ever. Screw every other 2D game in this list, THIS, is my desert island cartridge.

A huge, expansive environment, perfect controls, masses of power-ups, literally thousands of hidden things, from saving the cute animals at the end (No, I can't spell their names >_<;) to a missile pickup at the end of a tunnel. It's, like, perfect, and you should get it, like now. I'd host the ROM on my FTP if firefly wouldn't get pissed at me <_<

LoZs, almost all of them are classics, from ocarina of time, to the original, to twilight princess and phantom hourglass, not including LoZ II which was crap. However, all the rest have great puzzles, great exploration, and great greatness.

Others: GTA has always been good, waiting for GTAIV to come out on important platforms, like the PC.

Bionic commando is also a pretty good game, it's simple mechanics make way for some great gameplay, though the remake… not so much.

Elite, ELITE WOO!

I spent so much time trading… yeah, come on elite IV, make it!

There are plenty of others, of course, like the entirety of pre-7 final fantasies, but I wanted to keep it short, because I've typed and written enough today in my english exam.

I might do another with some more, or my favorite GM games of all time, but maybe not.

Also, do your own one of these, I wanna know what you people play.

EDIT: CHROOOOONOOOO TRIIIIGGGGEEEERRR!!!!

Zelda 2 wasn't "different", not terrible. I had fun playing through it. Zelda is one of my favorite series though. Favorite game from it, probably Link to the Past, Links Awakening, or Ocarina of Time.

I agree with your opinion! in fact, i think Super Metroid is one of the best games i have ever played! It just seems so well put together!

Also, since my computer is now capable of running half life 2 i have become very fond of that as well. my favourite game of all time though has to be Doom! It's just a classic, so much fun! And now you can get multiplayer ports of it, yay =D
