Yes I know it's been posted, but I had to post my own blog in his honor v.v
I cried and was horribly depressed when I found out Steve died. He was personally a childhood (and even at my age now) hero of mine. Grew up watching his shows =3, admired everything he did, including the big risks and stunts. Alot of people are already making fun and jokes about him, some even going as far as saying "FINALLY!" or my fave :I "He deserved to die." To those people I say F***K YOU. He didn't deserve to die. The man was great and amazing, he went to great lengths to protect and save the animals he so dearly loved. You hardly see people with that much passion and love for what they do besides doing it for television or damn publicity. He worked and lived for the animals; I mean the man and his crew ran into a burning forest to save as many animals as they could from burning to death. I'd like to see you effing gutless assholes go out there and do HALF the sh* he did. And not just the stuns or the risks, but the work and the effor that man put into his life and into his work. Screw you for saying he just agitated and annoyed the animals, SCREW YOU IN THE ASS TIMES TWO. He actually cared about them. He didn't diserve to die for anything! And saying crap like that not only shows HIM disrespect but his wife and his two lovely children and everyone else he loved and held dear. His wife and him had one of the strongest relationships ever not only through love but through their shared passion for animals. His little daughter Bindy was already taking after his intelligence with wildlife, his looks, and his enthusiasm. It's not the slightest bit f**kn funny that he's gone and her role model was taken from her. His son Robert didnt even get a chance to really know him. So I say again, SCREW YOU to the ass holes for ever putting him down for the things he did. He's going to be sorely missed by so many people, his fans, his friends and most of all his family. He was one in a few to truly be proud of and to be held in high respect. I may sound over exaggerated, but that's how he was to me. He worked hard to do the things he did. He didn't work for humanity, he worked for the ones who needed it more. Oh and to those out there also saying "Whats the big deal? It was bound to happen…" Well NO SH*T SHERLOCK….. It's bound ot happen to everyone, death WILL happen. That doesn't stop us from grieving when it does. So screw you too =DI honestly wish this was just one big joke and he was still out there filming his docu's and shows :( He really did some good for people. He appealed top everyone, grownups, children, teens…all ages. He made it fun, educational and worth watching. He will always have a place in the hearts of his fans and his family. We loved you life and we'll love you in death…. so sad you had to go, but everyone has their time. Love you Steve <33I'm sorry if this sounds over the top but I had to vent. So sick and tired of people's lack of respect for him. If you dont like him, fine. But dont go bad mouth him about it, especially after his death.

:'(Yay for erasing stupid comments ^^
-This is a long post, but I felt I had to write it.-
Mr. Irwin was an incredibly intellegent person, he grew up on his father's nature reserve, and went on to run the Austrailia national zoo and worked hard to educate people about living in harmony with animals. I admit, I made a joke about his death, but I never said "Finally" or "he deserved it," becuase I never harbored ill-will towards the man, and I knew about his accomplishments. He was definately goofy at times, perpetuating the crocodile dundee stereotype of Austrailians. But he always knew what he was doing, when he held his baby near a gator, that was not a stunt for show, he knew exactly how close he could safely get to that animal. But like all jobs, there are risks involved. A lumberjack is likely to get crushed by a tree, a fisherman is likely to drown in a storm, an x-ray technician is likely to get cancer. Irwin worked with animals, not just the cuddly ones everyone loves, but the most dangerous ones on the planet. He chose to do it, and he was very good at it, but animals cannot be predicted, and he found out the hard way. It's too bad he died of this, the aura of invulnability he had seemed to develop after wrestling 16 foot crocs and handling venomous snakes made me feel like he'd have to go down in a blaze of glory, becuase nothing else could do him in. Hearing that died of stingray attack seemed anticlimatic. At least this way, no one can forget him or his work, and there will be those who continue what he has started. The Austrailian government is planning on giving him a state funeral, if his family will allow it, at this time, I haven't heard whether or not they have. Mr. Irwin deserves one. At the very least, it's better to burn out doing your life's work, instead of fading away of old age. Here here =3
He does deserve a state funeral ^^ Hopefully Terri allows it. Even if not, he will be widely remembered anyway. We love you Stevie <33Goodbye steve… *tear*
Yeah, he was great.
And I really disagree with jokes about anyone's death…Yep true…
cept maybe Hitler…>.> HEETLAH!What about Elvis? He died taking a dump. I hear jokes about his death all the time.
Oh and Dabridge, you lose your $500. Only 49 posts
His family has declined the offer of a state funeral. Its not the way he would have wanted to be remembered - he was always a humble man. We'll miss him.
