PANBLOG | Going trough C++

Posted by Panithadrum on Sept. 29, 2009, 12:42 p.m.

Hello guys.

This is me, Panithadrum, the one who made Apocalyptic evolution.

Nowadays, this project is dead.

I have been training my programming skills, and then I switched from Game Maker Language to C++.

I am going to remake AE in C++, using OpenGL and FMOD technologies. The game will be called now “The dead walkâ€?.

It will mix 2D and 3D (just what I was going to do with AE).

Since I am working and also studying at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the progress of the game will be so slow. Anyway, I am going to post all my thoughts in this blog, and so my ideas, troubles and fixes, so anyone can learn from me.

I think this is all today…

I just have a question:

Can I submit C++ games?

Sadly, no - you can't submit C++ games. If this site allowed non-GM stuff, I'd have filled my file manager with random projects.

Alas, it doesn't. Not yet anyway - this reminds me I need to bother Arca and the others.

Yes, please go do that DF. Soon I will have my own C++ games to showcase.

Also game submission is broken.

Another reason 64d needs to broaden its horisons to include Game making in general. I think this has come up before.

Game submissions getting fixed would be a step in the right direction, so someone please do something about that.
