Writing a Fan-Fiction

Main–

I'm planning on writing a piece-of-shit kinda deal in my spare time (seems to be too much). Even when I'm with my friends we chill at my house and if im not playing guitar or video games, im just chilling out or something, So I figure i've got lots of time. I'm going to do it on the game Oblivion. For buying this game with my PS3 and abs. falling inlove, and CANNOT Stop playing anymore… The only thing that concerns me right now is how I'm going to actually keep a plot rolling. I mean, In every story, there is a big goal, and a beginning, and getting to this goal, espically with a game like oblivion, theres TONS of little stuff going on. I'm quite scared as to how I'm going to fit all that stuff in, while still not drifting off to far from the main quest. Any Advice? Maybe from some of you who have some writing experience?

–Other Stuff

Anyone play guitar? I'm looking to buy a new one (useing a wal-mart guitar right now that I bought when I started playing) and most guitar's I find these day's are mostly hard metal, or a Les Paul. I want something Red Hott Chili peppers style, nothing mad heavy or metaly, but at the same time, not acoustic or boring… any Ideas?

Ugh I can't stop playing oblivion! I'm doing the main quest now after doing like, a million other things before hand, I'm a level 16 and am finally starting to get some Glass items. I already have a glass mace (working on blunt on the side) and i have a full set of Elven armor for now, till I get my glass, But I used Amber before that. Not really into heavy armor yet.

And thats all I got for you, I'd say this was a pretty interesting blog post, make sure you leave some love down below…

I can sympathize with you on Oblivion. That damn game stole 200 hours of my life before I got tired of it.

In Oblivion, I used almost all Daedric gear once I could get my hands on it. Once you get your Heavy Armor skill to 100, it stops slowing you down, and the defense is pretty crazy.

Haha, I was gonna recommend getting a Les Paul :p

(and if you're dropping a Les Paul in that acoustic/boring category you need to learn more about guitars :p )

How about a Strat? You could get a decent Squier Strat for anywhere from $120 to $500, depending on your price range. If your price range is a bit higher, then you could get a full on Fender.

You know, I've never heard of Oblivion, but a glass mace doesn't sound very effective to me. XD

As for a guitar, my sister has a Les Paul that I play occasionally. I mean I don't know enough about guitars to be able to share any advice, but I do know it's all in the amp. =D

Of course, any guitar player should know that. My mom's boyfriend actually made a video of what one specific amp could do. As for guitars, I'll have to ask him

You've never heard of Oblivion? Where have been recently, Kilin, under the stupid rock of introvertion?

And then John was a zombie.

All I see is a ghost poster, but I'll agree with them on this. Fanfiction is fiction without any developing of characters, areas, or story.

What do you mean Evilish? Although my fan-fic may be closly based off of a game, I plan on it acting as a book on its own. (or story, perhaps)

It is easy to do.

Example:

Main character is walking to a friend's house.

A dog attacks him about 3/4 of the way there.

He can't go back the other way.

So he runs from the dog to his friend's house.

He still gets there, but there was a side quest.

Now, for your writing, you could do this:

In Oblivion, lore is everywhere and news travels, have a character inform the main character(intentionally or not) about things.

He may go try and help, try and get better weapons, armor or spells.

Do it the same way Oblivion itself does it, except your character can't go off on an adventure if an Oblivion gate opens in front of him.

He has to try and close it now, and notice I say try. He can fail and run back, have him almost die and be saved by someone when he gets back through the gate.

New "sidekick" now right?

I hope I helped.
