I had only been away from the forums a couple minutes to check on the news when I found that I had received an email notifying me about a new PM at GMG.

Edenb sent me the PM, congratulating me on my new Moderator position at GMG. I soon checked out the forums to see that indeed, my name was in red, the staff forums were visible, and that I now had the powers of a Mod. Tapeworm soon after sent his own PM congratulating me on my promotion with the site. As my first act as a mod, I deleted a spam topic written in what appeared to be Spanish.

As far as I’m aware, the staff hopes at finding more people to promote as mods in time for the next major update of GMG. For a while there have been complaints about increased spam among other things, so I’m sure to see the staff looking to confront these problems more in the near future.

I don’t know what else to add to this entry, aside from saying this is great to see happen, and that I’ve finally found something add to my blog, as I haven’t written much in a couple months.
