Today on working with Pilot, I've decided to re-balance the ships even more.
This time I've given them stats based on the numbers 1,2 and 3(3 being strong, 1 being weak)so from now on the stats will be like this:Ship name; attack,speed,defensePheonix: 3,2,1Defender:1,2,3Blaster:3,1,2Interceptor:2,3,1Warbug: 2,1,3Lasersweep: 1,3,2Warbug(with special): 3,2,3interceptor(with special): 4,3,1Lasersweep(with special):2,4,2As you can see, the stats are quite even. the only reason stats change with those three and not the other three is because:- Pheonix has automatic healing for a limited time as his special- Defender has a shield that makes him invincible for a limited time as his special- Blaster has special firing which bounces off walls as his specialA new enemy type has been added, but I'm aiming to add at least 2 more to the roster, meaning there will be 6 enemy types intead of the 3 in version 2:- a new enemy, that shoots more frequently than its predecessors, and takes more hits to kill, and it also sends out 8 dark electric bullets when it dies that do considerable damage if one hits you.(done, but tweaking)- a new enemy that will drain health if you touch, like the second ship type, but you can only damage it when its close to you, because it dissapears if you're too far way… also it will be alot faster than regular enemy types, but will be weaker in health to compensate.- the last type will be another turret type, (not an origonal idea though), but it will be even tougher, and will shoot dark electric bullets at you, and faster… its range will be larger as wellI also made the game a bit easier, by making the enemies slower. Its better for the slower ships that have a tough time escaping battle..EDIT: I've also decided to use pheonix L3S intead of lumines, so the game's lighting is better, but now I have to figure out ways of using lighting in the level design…EDIT2: I made a banner which shows the enemies drawn so far (although the ship on the end I have not programmed yet, and I don't know what its ability will be..)
If I had Warptweet in my game, he would be the enemy target, not the player…
Although a n00b enterprise joke game would be really funny(kinda like lemonade tycoon, but you're a n00b selling videogames.you could beg for help and make a crappy game, 'borrow' an example and modify it slightly, or you could steal from community members. you could control the amount of ripped sprites, stolen sprites, or crappy sprites you make youreself.)the ultimate goal could be to make a weeks pocket money, or get enough skill points to not be a n00b anymore…Although, these are just ideas I've thought on the top of my head…(I wouldm't try making it..)
