Yep, that kinda reflects myself at the moment.
I haven't been here for a while, thats because I've been on a long gaming binge, but now its time to get back onto the game making saddle..I've heard that GM7 is out now, not going to get it, as I still need to master 6.1 (I was like this when 6.1 was out, and I was still using 6..)So basically I might have found out what the problem was with my game making that drove me away last time:Complexity…Yes folks, thats right, complexity. I think that I was trying to make Pilot too complicated, so I'm going to stop working on it for now…As you can see, I've decided to change my spriting style from the style that you can see in my banner, to the style you can see in the avatar. I personally think the simple block looks much better, and I've used less colours and thicker outline, making it look cartoony, but it stands out more with a few simple lines of shading. So about my projects, I haven't really thought of what to work on yet, but I'm going to keep it simple, (as the best games that were ever made were simple…)So whats been going on here since I've been away?
I came back!!!
and who are you?I'm Retrovortex and I've been a member at this site for ages…
but I've been on and off here, so you may have been around when I was off…Because of this I'm not very popular, but hopefully, with time and contributions I will actually be memoriable…Not much really. We're still waiting for v3 and thats about it. I'd advise uping to gm 7 it hasn't really changed other than vista support and room transistions. (It has changed a good bit, but nothing that is noticable from the user pov)
-ElmerniteI'll consider it.. but Vista is still young and expensive, and yoyogames doesn't really appeal to me, so I'm out at the moment…
Yeah, I understand your point. The reason I updated was because in a year (or two) from now when lots of people have Vista, I wanted them to be able to play my games.
Your right about the complexity. Sometimes simple is the best way to go.-ElmerniteWelcome back, Retro.
