Dreamcast FTW!!

Now that I gots a long holiday, I've decided to get out my dreamcast and play some games!!

Yesterday I sorted my games library (seriously its like a library I have about 20+ legit dreamcast games and about 40+ copies)

and I put my favourite games in a cd case. The funny thing is is that it was pretty hard to sort my favourite games as there were some real gems but I managed it.

So lets see whats in my CD case today:

- Sega Rally 2

- 5 in 1 racing game collection (2 crazy taxis, 2 tokyo highway challenges and some weird motorcycle game)

- Sword of the Beserker: Gut's Rage

- Project Justice (sequal to rival schools for the PS1)

- Street fighter 3: 3rd strike (only in there because 360 has no backwards compatibility)

- Marvel VS Capcom 2 Remix (same game, but someone injected better music into the game) (also have in there because of 360)

- Capcom VS SNK 2 (same game, but someone injected better music into the game) (use to have it on PS2 but my bro lent it to someone..)

- Ecco the Dolphin

- Jet Set Radio

- MDK 2

- Headhunter

- Rez

- Samba De Amigo (great game but I gots no maraccas.. [:(])

- Space channel 5 (the ONLY dreamcast game I have that needs a bootdisk to run!) [>:O]

- Pro Pinball trilogy

- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

- Timestalkers

- Mars Matrix (the only dreamcast shmup I like)

- Sega Marine fishing ( I have a fishing rod! OK??!!!)

- Sega Bass fishing (this one's actually legit)

- Soul Caliber

- Chu Chu Rocket (my only other legit game in it)

seperate from the case but not my heart:

- Shenmue

- Shenmue 2

- Skies of Arcadia

So it looks like I'm gonna be busy!!

(tell me if I missed any good DC games!)

OLD GEMS

I posted a blog about this yesterday but It mysteriously got deleted,

but the main jist of it was:

Yesterday I looked in my shed and found an old chocolate box containing:

PC GAMES!!

most of them were kiddy games, like learning games, which I loved and completed back then, but there were two games I found that were very interesting:

The first one was Talking Max. It came with a headset and you raised a parrot called Max. You could talk to him teach him tricks, (also teach him to swear, my older brother loved that!) and get him to say things you said, like a parrot (actually, Max was a parrot!)

The second game was called ToonStruck.

We never got this game to work, but yesterday with the help of DOSBOX 7.0, various forums, and some tinkering around, I got the game to work!

Now for those who don't know what this game is about here is the wiki about it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toonstruck

I'm actually glad i never played this game when I was a kid because not only would it mess up my pure and innocent mind with the suprisingly adult humour, it would've been too frustrating for me back then. as this game is hard!

but I still reccomend it, as the characters are awesome, the humour is great, and the gameplay is a good challenge,

and the main character is played by Christopher Lloyd !

(Its quite a rare game though as the company went bust, but its not too expensive. plus there's gotta be a torrent for it somewhere..)

EDIT: Also, I would love to hear what videogame gems you've found and where you've found them.

for all we know old games could be lurking around everywhere!!

Get Jet Grind Radio, and its sequel, Jet Set Radio Future, for the Xbox. Great soundtrack, looks like gameplay pwnz.

Jet Grind Radio is Jet Set Radio…

(there was a name change in the NTSC-PAL conversion)

I also had future but my cd it came on is messed up badly (as it didn't come with a case…)
