I've also found a guitar I think I should work for. Left-handed, it's 830 AU dollars (655 US). Epiphone G-400 (SG Style). It won't get the bluesy tone I'd have liked, and would've gotten from a Les Paul model - but its designed for rock/metal/punk (this guitar is mainly known as the ACDC Guitar). http://epiphone.com/default.asp?ProductID=24&CollectionID=16. I have about 400 AU dollars, so I only have to save up twice as much, and I'm all good.
