Hi everyone.
Haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd give an update on my current projects. I have cleared quite a few out of the way - GC Effects Engine 3.X and a 'Formation Builder' (which some people just didn't understand) which only took a few days to make. But, looking at the list of projects I have, I realised I'm kind of empty again!Conflict: OnlineKind of slow progress. Arcalyth is doing the larger part of the work, doing some awesome online "uniquities" that he'll both release to the public and use for CO, and Scott will be working on some new sprites, like new wall/door sets, and he may also be working with Pim to implement texture mapping to make the terrain work much faster. As for me, I just have to work slowly on a few bug fixings on the current demo client, release 0.62, and then we'll all be going back into hiding till the online demo is released. Part-Art 2Was originally supposed to be out with the new effects engine, but I decided, seeing as I was releasing it separate from the engine as well, I could wait a little longer till I get it done. Scott and I are both working on this project, as Scott has made the awesomest GUI ever, it'll have similar aspects to Adobe Photoshop. Part-Art is like all those particle-WYSIWYG-designers, like Particle Designer. However, Part-Art was the very first, and soon will be the most efficient and easy to use.GameCave Console 3; Basic, Standard, and 'Enterprise?' EditionFor those who have checked out the console… heck, even for those who haven't checked out the console - I'm making a new one. Like Part-Art, it will use Scott's awesome GUI design - the console will follow a more "Counter-strike" style console - so you can move the console, resize it, have sub windows, etc. I may also be implementing gregex, so that all GML code can be highlighted different colours, as well as different commands. I'll be releasing 2-3 editions. Basic Edition will be just like the in-built debug mode with GameMaker, but with a few options, and the obvious ability to use it in an executable (you can have a password to enter to unlock the console). The standard edition will have the most basic features, not including gregex/colour-highlighting. It will be customizable and powerful, sure, but will not include the bonus features, such as the a-forementioned ones. 'Enterprise' Edition (will probably change the name, doesn't really make too much sense) will include all features.'Secret Project'Pim, Scott, and myself are making plans and concepts for a new major project. We're really quite excited about it, as it has a long, in-depth, emotional, and logical storyline. It's also taking a slightly original twist to it. We are hoping it'll reach the commercial status, and may even be selling the game. It's something we will work on as CO is being finished off, though.GameCave Helpdesk V2Been working on this concept for a few weeks. It won't be anything too special, but it'll include all the features a help-desk should have - ask a question, people attempt to help, you can rate how well you were helped, and so on. I'm also planning the ability to upload gm6 and gmd files, which will be an 'attachment' to a question that people can download - then the files are deleted after the question is solved.RegardsRhys Andrews
I want to know what the secret project is. >:(
A uselessly small picture? We haven't done anything more than concepts and planning.

Can you at least tell us genre of the 'Secret Project'Part-Art 2 sounds pretty cool, and can't wait for CO (Really Online) to come outThink of a mix between the styles of 5 Days a Stranger / 7 Days a Skeptic (if you haven't played it, you can dl it for free just google it), and Half-Life 2, but the storyline is original.
