64Digits

I was like hey you know what 64Digits needs? Either a general-comments thingo or a PM system. A general-comments thingo would be like where people just comment on your page; not on any of your blogs in particular… that would be nice coz you'd be like hey man look at me i have a general-comments thingo.

Or, if that's dumb, PM system would be nice. Nothing special, but something where we can contact other guys without hunting down their email or posting offtopics to their blogs (and who knows it might be private OOOoooooooooooh Pandaroo you know what i'm talkin 'bout.. not really).

Oh yeah, Lets have a look at the list of jobs I have for the Drama Production company:

- Graphic Design: Including Posters, Blerbs, Backdrops, Tickets, and Programs

- Sound / Music: Including voice direction (recordin), transitioning, and of course putting all the crap together onto a disk.

- Major Role: Yeah I got a major role… at least I get to have a drunk slut (acting of course) going all over me. That will be fun.

- Secondary Role: On nights I'm not playing my major role i'm an idiot soldier who gets to swear a lot.

Yay, Now I get home from school at 6pm each night, work hard on my graphic design and sound / music until 10pm, try to sleep, wake up at 4:30am to do school work, go to school, work like crap all day, and get home at 6pm. What a life (at least for the next 4 weeks..).

Why should the 64D staff work on PMs when they can make stuff like this? Yea it would be usefull, but they are more concerned with making stuff like this and a flash chat instead of just using IRC. Also, they can release all this stuff, but still no official forum.

1) It literally takes only a few seconds to make a tag.

2) Have you ever thought that maybe a PM system was underway? It's most likely going to use Ajax too.

No. Have you ever told us? Hey you know what? I think that the 64Digits is working on an adults only version of the site.. I don't know why, but like the PM system, i just figured.

The PMs will be AMAZING!

Not really.

But they're annoying to build. Got the layout and everything all set up, but I gotta set up the table, stick in the ajax, build the forms, and add the menu items.

Adding a new tag takes about the same ammount of time as adding a new menu item. =P

Also, the flash chat was set up by JakeX. He's capable of adding that, but not capable of making the PMs the way the design is meant for them to be made. And he used a flash chat, so that it can interact easily with the main site. Like, I have no clue how I would get IRC to read off the users in the mysql database, nor how I would make it so that if a user is in the IRC chat, it'll change their "users online" icon.

It's probably possible, but it's a lot easier on the server/my coding patience, to just use flash.
