My school just got back from a trip to Mobile. We went there on an all day trip to see the Pompeii Exhibit. It was pretty cool, we saw some preserved pots, ovens, tables, you name it. I have always loved studying about the Roman Empire, so this trip was pretty interesting for me. It was prett odd looking at the body casts of the people and dogs. You could see there last moment, like there was one couple on the ground, the wife trying to help her spouse. It kind of woke me up. We saw how life was thee in the past, and present (using Google Earth Pro =P). We saw a movie on a dome-shaped movie screen of the Volcanic Eruption, and it was very cool, especially when the poison gasses came down and hit the walls of the city, and began to tower over the walls. Anyway it was all pretty cool, and towards the end of the tour, we went to a science place where you can design your own Roller Coaster with a computer program, and then ride it using a "Virtual Roller Coaster". You could also measure your jumps on a seismograph, and see yourself in thermal vision, etc. Anyway, fun field trip, much better than I thought it would be.
