Computer Fail

Posted by Ross on Oct. 18, 2008, 9:15 a.m.

Whenever I boot up my computer I get the Blue Screen of Death with this message:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000000 0x00000000)

The system has been shut down.

So I'm using my Wii to get on the internet to look up solutions, but most just involve using Safe Mode, which fails, and using "Last Known Good Settings", which also fails. Tech Support over the phone gave useless advice, so now I'm at a loss.

I figure somebody here can offer some advice, hopefully. Well, typing on the Wii takes forever, but I finished the blog :)

Using Windows XP Home edition, by the way.

Just reinstall windows, it's more effort that it's worth to research it.

Or hope someone who knows what they're doing comes here :D

Back up your stuff and THEN reinstall.

It's a virus. I have 2 hard drives with Windows 2000 on them and they all give me the same error. To back up your files: Make a boot disk. Put it on a USB, CD or a Floppy and just copy the files over to a USB. To reinstall Windows: On most computers made in 2004 and up have a recovery hard disk. Pressing F11 at startup should start the recovery.
