Riddle Me This

1. Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?

Answer - He was standing outside the window.

2. A black dog stands in the middle of an intersection in a town painted black. None of the street lights are working due to a power failure caused by a storm. A car with two broken headlights drives towards the dog but turns in time to avoid hitting him. How could the driver have seen the dog in time?

Answer - It's day time

3. What is it the more you take, the more you leave behind?

Answer - Footsteps

1. Can't get that one.

2. It was during the day.

3. Footsteps - you leave footprints behind.

What gets bigger as you try to remove it?

What is never wet and gets heavier when you melt it?

1. He's not human?

I'm betting the soot part is crucial for the first one - still, I'd go with "Brad is human, but the office tower was in space".

What if Brad was a window cleaned and jumps inside because he's dismayed at all the soot he has to clean up?

1 He jumped into the building! (Took me forever to get this one.)

2 It was day.

3 Footsteps (Heard it before, that's the only reason I knew it. I probably would never have gotten it.)

You're wrong, he uses the words "descent" and "fall" to imply Brad jumped down.

I'm with the space theory on this one, seeing as the atmosphere would slow Brad down on Earth, it just wouldn't matter because he would be fucked.
