V3's been out long enough that I'm starting to see it without laughing, and I'm bored enough now to write a post.

So, since my last blog two and a half years ago, Enigma progressed to what you all know about it now pretty much without anything from me but trolling, and Stadt-Magie morphed into Distoban and became virtually a one-man project by someone who is not me. It's pretty cool looking now though.

What have I done besides let projects die or move on without me? Make my own stuff, of course! I might get around to submitting it here, but I think a higher priority is to finish the project I'm on right now, which has a deadline, and to get my own site (www.abubalay.com) working again.

My best projects are, as always, done for contests. I have two and a third games for the unfortunately-named Technology Student Association, the second two of which are potentially good ideas but not really finished enough. My favorite is for a game-in-a-day competition I entered at a gaming convention with my brother.

Besides games, I've experimented with my server setup- it runs a minimal Debian install now, written some kernel-level code, thought about language design and made progress on a game engine/tool. That last bit is intended to be a whole game development stack, usable at every level, from the (at least initially) C++ engine through a scripting language and environment to a Game Maker/Construct/Stencyl-like tool.

I've also decided that 90% of my past blogs are ridiculous and they make me cry.
