I just registered here, even though I've known about it for a while. From what I've seen on the outside, this place looks awesome. And I haven't seen any n00bs here either, and that's always a plus. :) lol
Just to introduce myself, my name is yODUDE (no, not really. I just like to be annonymous on the Internet).I found GM a few years ago, when it was at v5.3A. My dad does computer game programming, so I wanted him to help me make a maze game I had designed. We found a cool program called Tilestudio. It's pretty cool– it's basically a level editor for tile-based worlds. but the good thing is it has lots of ways to export to different languages, and you can make your own types as well. Anyway, on the website's FAQ page, there was a link to GM. I (well, my brother likes to claim he did) clicked the link and immediatly downloaded it.I went through several crappy engines of every genre you can think of (almost) and wound up with this partially finished game:The Attack of the Groggy FroggyYay for copies of the GM examples. NotAnyway, then I messed around for a long time (multiple years) and came up with what I have now:yODUDE!gamesI'm working on submitting those games here.
