Yeah, that's right. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the first-ever Western game to recieve a perfect score in Japan's most respected gaming magazine Famitsu.
…That makes it the 17th game to ever get a perfect score throughout the magazine's entire 26-year run.Pretty impressive, even if you think that numerical scores are pretty meaningless themselves. I bet Bethesda's feeling pretty proud of themselves. If you're curious, here's the other 16 games to ever get a perfect score in Famitsu:

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time2. Soulcalibur3. Vagrant Story4. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker5. Nintendogs6. Final Fantasy XII7. Super Smash Bros. Brawl8. #5….how
Cause its pretty much the only good one of its genre probably.
Also, I think im gonna pick up skyrim with a nice discount ;)I daresay that list says more bad than good about Skyrim.
^
The whole list is pretty stupid. Those are obviously not the 17 best games of all time, most of them probably don't make the top 100.
And I don't see why it should be a big deal that a western game should be on there when the western gaming mags have always given Japanese games equal measure. The Japanese reviewers probably didn't even do any questing, they just collected 100% dragon souls, got to level 100, and completed the main story in third person mode.
Also, I had heard of Bayonetta, but didn't remember what it was, so I went to Google Image. Japan.Screw you Death, FFXII was awesome.
