Game Maker Studio's out

Yoyo finally released it today. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, but hopefully i'll finally be able to release my projects for both the Mac and PC… Without resorting to making 'me HTML5.

I'll probably spend the $200 Yoyo's asking for the iOS exporter in the near future, too. Might even release some commercial games, see if that goes anywhere. Fortunately, I don't think GM's iOS exporter will result in a flood of shitty games on the App Store… Developers, in addition to the $200 cost for the exporter, will also have to have a Mac and be a registered member of Apple's iOS Developer program, which is $99/year.

I've already got both of those, so I'm set.

Unfortunately there are still rich, talentless, uncreative children out there. So I wonder about the quality it will bring.

True, but I don't think there's that many out there. Who use Game Maker, anyways.

There's bound to be a few exceptions, but overall I'm not too worried. And it's not like the App Store isn't already ripe with clones and copycats.

I'm thinking that Android will probably see the majority of the shitty mobile games produced with GM.
