Dent and ding.

I found myself sifting through the level buidling code for The Crawl and came up with a few new ideas.

First thing I did though was rehaul how the editor looks. Its much cleaner now and I fixed up some troubling bugs.

Second thing I did was make it so that like tiles connect both physically and shading wise, meaning no more having each individual tile be a little pop up. Instead they all join together and sink where they differ.

Third was adding the option for a tile to be either sunken or dented. In the image below, provided with and without textures to best demostrate what is happening, I made the brick based tiles dented out and the dirt tiles sunken in.

In theory I could now have puddles and the likes. Yay puddles.

As far as Black Shadow, I've finished two more levels and have begun working on two more levels. Acquired several new mids from JB and nearly(procrastinatingly) finished the second stage's main boss. I just need to make him die now. His animation for death at least.

On the technical side I've made some improvements to player movement, although the jumping still isn't keen, I think I'll need to research a better method.

Enemies have also been improved, no longer turning in between attacks(no more weird arrows) and improved the first boss.

Heres a big tower.

It's moments like that I wish I knew some words stronger than "awesome".

That top screenshot looks quite good.

I wish I could comment, but I'm on a crappy CRT right now.
