Mapper essentials

I've finished the basics of the mapping engine. Now the U3d version is up to speed with the original, fake shading and roofs have been implemented.

I also played around with the water effect and in the screenshot below you can see the distored translucent water and the improved(from last screenshot) fake shading effect.

Things to do next is to rebuild the enviroment handling system I had in the original version. It controls fog, background color, cloud tint, ambient lighting and position(representing the sun and moon respectively).

I'm not entirely satsified with the water as is, it needs something more to it, some color and murkiness.

Low brightness high contrast is the best screen configuration. Unless you're playing some stupid game like Half Life 2: Episode 1.

A bit dark, can't see much.

Too dark, I can barely see anything.

Seems like theres no common settings amoung monitors these days. Sometimes it looks too bright, others its practicly black(one of the computers at work screenshots looked black)
