I've been working on various bits of codename:side wars, I've even got a real name for it. Currently I've sketched out all the basic essential information to fully construct the game, and in the process designed some of the interface screens that you'll seen in game. Some recoloring too.
Click image for bigger image.From left to right, you have your typical selected unit's character sheet, then your character/general's character sheet and a kingdom and army sheet which details your resources, equipment, ect.Now I've been leaning towards pre-made generals to select from, and have a list of positive and negative traits that generals can have that will effect a range of stats for your and your opponent's soldiers. Sometimes a good general can turn the tide.Some of these traits will up chances of opponent surrender or even get some units to defect straight to your side. Also it is planned that there will be post-battle loot. Some weapons and armor of your opponents can be salvaged, although most of it will be damaged and converted to small amounts of resources(metals,wood). And yes beer is a resource, you need a big foamy mug after you've gutted your opponents.
