GK-Mapping.

Well with the competition out of the way I've been taking a break from GM for the past half-week. Now I've come back to work on that side-view war game which is now entitled 'General Kings'.

I have the interface(for the most part) set up and ready to go. Next I'll need to attach all those variables to the actual units that are generated.

But this is not about those details but the mapping details. I had a right nice fancy map prior blog, but somethings happened and I've been led a new direction with it. Customization can cost prestine graphics but I'll pay that price for increased game play.

In other word General Kings will allow you to build your own map. Based on tiles and icons, you'll set up the basics in the editor and be able to play your custom map with the game.

Currently it only has one mode of editing and saves to the same file, map.txt. All commands and keys are displayed easy to view. Theres no fancy interface, just a fancy blank gridded map.

As for the contest, I've not seen anything new posted on the front about it. I know a few people had entries but are there more? No clue.
