Its been a busy couple of weeks in all ways and I've had little-no time to work on my projects.
What time I do have I"ve spent playing some indie games: Emily Enough: Imprisoned, a nice dark un-rated old school styled point-n-click adventure game. Short and sweet with a good story. Then another interesting little gem called 'The Desolate Room'. The core of that game revolves mostly around its well developed Final Fantasy esque battle system. I'm sure theres ways the creator could of put more variety into it, but I don't expect too much from solo produced games. Outside the battle system the game is has an okay story about a bunch of robots, all but one mysteriously dead…I did feel artsy a day ago and decide to do a simple room in the style of those old adventure games. The image only uses 24 colors and makes use of simple stipple effects in light and shade. Its pretty simple but I like how it came out. Before I started I made a pallete for it, seeing as those games are pretty much 256 color games I went out to make a nice collection of colors and shades. Its has 132 colors done at the moment. Heres what it looks like with a template room in the background.I don't know whether this will actually amount to anything, but it was a fun little diversion.
Looks nice, well done! :)
Looks hot man!
And you think you're gonna win the polls? Look behind ya mate! (I voted for you >__>)Now if it wasn't so close I'd feel bad for not voting for you. I actually voted for the least voted-for game when the polls went up…
Heh. Nice plan.
Ooh, what's that? Looks like a tie!
Wow, that looks amazing. Well done.
Ooh, nice picture there. Makes me want to go play a game like that now…
Well there are a few decent games at the AGS site.
@Scott AW - I only have internet at weekends and in ICT at school, but downloads are blocked at school. I might just play Duty And Beyond when I get home… ^_^
