I've decided to do a rehaul and complete upgrading up Shield Breaker. I've started this before, but lost all the new content.
I do however have some sample builds of two reworked versions with some new features.Original VersionClassic version, released for contest. I'll be using this as the base for reworking the game.Version 1.07Some various graphical changes, ball limit based on score and special 'pandora' boxes that released objects that mess with you. Also plasma turrets and a sample boss at level 10(i won't be adding bosses again)Version 1.2Involves whats in the latter plus plasma balls will absorb eachother, backgrounds added, a constant block barrier has been added to see how it would effect the game.So of the new versions, what stuff should I keep?Currently I'm planning on putting the pandora boxes back in and have already put in ball limit based on score. Other features I've added are visibly decaying shields and your ship turning red and unstable as your shield reachs zero.Any suggestions for bonuses, powerups or other possible modes of play? Your opinions will be welcomed.Heres a 'rough-draft' of the new title I'm working on.Some sneak peaks of work in progress, a 64digits exclusive because GMC is crap and they locked out my topic instead of politely moving it to the proper place like they used to. Haven't play this before, but the pandora boxes sound pretty fun (v. 1.07). I'll try it out.
I downloaded the last version and it didn't have music… Mabe I accidently got some other one, but I can't check now, because the file host won't let me download anything more :P
Either way, the one I got had background, but far more simple ones, and could use a less annoying shooting sound and Esc going back to the menu, not out of the game.Going back to main menu should of been done awhile ago, I'll admit. I'll look into getting some new sound effects for certain things like the shooting.
