*new* New capture better codec this time, lot cleaner. Demonstrating some fixes I made with the tile panning, added a character with move limits and view with limits based on character position.
-old-An update on my planned compo game, Jayisgames I think is the host of the contest. With a bit of formula work and some basic math, I now have a pretty good voxel simulation using tile layers. The basic concept and gameplay is worked out, now I need to make more graphics and plan NPCs.Average fps speed on an Acer Aspire 8.9", with no screen blowup.Average fps speed on an Acer Aspire 8.9", with screen blown up to 800x600Interior shot with sample charactersExterior shot.Check out the smooth demo. I see what you did there :D
please uncap it I want to find out how fast my computer can run this type of gm game.
well… I could always just run 10 of them at the same time and see if that works BRBmkay i managed to run 15 of them without lagas you can see from this screenshotpicture of it, the prufit's not my cpu or ram's fault since they are at around 20-30% it's most likely my less than super duper nvidia 9600gt which i will replace next summer for an awesome card that will live up to my other computer's parts.wow @meow44. I will keep that in mind when i make my computer in one or two years.
anyway, interesting. though whats the difference between just pixelated 3d sprites and voxel?Voxels are delicious!
I also got 30FPS on my 8.9" Aspire One. Looks neat so far.
Next time I'll have an option to uncap the fps for testing. I did notice one funny thing, it runs better and without any graphic oddities on the Acer, unlike my main computer. It could be the video drivers though.
That looks really good! :D
