If there's a common trend in my blogs, it just talk talk talk about what I'm working on or with. I'll still mention a few things though, because that's what I do.
So heres somethings unrelated, or partly related.First thing is I got a Wii, I know I'm behind on this, but its a long held tradition of mine to buy consoles far from their initial release dates. It ends up being cheaper in the long run. Well except for two key games I wanted had lasting value. I picked up a small handful of titles, The New Super Mario Bros., Zelda: Twilight Princess, Drawn To Life(next chapter) and Carnival Games. The last two were my wife's choice, she was reluctant on me getting the Zelda game but ultimately retracted that after playing it some.I attempted to introduce my older daughter(4) to the Wii, but she just held the wiimote and stared in awe. I'll try again some other time. Of course she has played games before, managed to beat 70% of World of Goo levels, some rather hard ones, and was decent at "playing" Spyro for PS1.I also got a new Netbook, now a 10 inch screen, still XP. Its bigger, but seems lighter than my Acer. The keyboard is a little bigger, but the configuration of the buttons trips me up when switching between a fullsize keyboard and back. Fn key is switch with Cntrl, don't know why they did this.Additionally I finally got my Premium version of GLBasic, which means I can play around with making stuff for the Wii as well. I'll wait on the GP2x wiz and other handhelds until I see how they are doing market wise. Pandora may be a fail, mostly because of its price and the GP2x Wiz seems to be having some company troubles. There are a few other alternatives that seem kind of cool and retro, mostly the Fuzebox and a more compact version called the Uzebox. They're still a little pricey for 8-bit consoles, but being made using Arduino, they're pretty impressive. Although I have been finding increasingly cheaper Single Board Computers. And for some unrelated facts of myself…I've had in total(not at one time), 21 cats(12 at once do to two cats getting pregnant), 3 dogs, 4 rats, 6 hamsters(including dwarf), 12 fish, 2 mice, and 1 blue headed conure for a grand total of 49 pets in my life. Currently I have 2 cats, 2 rats, 5 fish, and 2 human kids.
I just got de Blob for the Wii and it's pretty good for a cheap game.
I was thinking about that one too, also the Metroid Trilogy would be nice to have, even though I beat the first years ago.
Yeah Metroid Trilogy is a great deal cause its 3 games for the price of 1.
Now if only I could my hands on that limited release Gamecube Zelda pack, I still have never played Majora's Mask. Of course I haven't played any of the DS ones, just that old Gameboy one.
I may very well kill Nintendo.
Go on …ask me why.I'm sure I can think of a few, what do you got?
why do you want to kill nintendo, i do too.
