C++ is faster.

GLBasic is not fast. Except if you compare it to slow stuff. Like blackhole said, C++ is THE WAY for SPEED.
It would also take me a lot longer to code it in C++, then even longer to convert it to other platforms. So in my mind its faster than alternatives.
