Read about the RTS and junk here

Unfinished data PDF

So life's been busy and I decided to put some stuff on hold since I just don't have the time to create the resources.

But I still long to make games, thus the RTS revival project has begun.

Since the graphics are there, just coding and map making. Something I always have time for. I want to save myself the frustration the other projects were providing.

I'm throwing out offers to those interested in creating some content for this. I could always use music and additional maps to make it pretty big and varied.

No decision on if I want to commercialize this, as the artist of the graphics just requires a generous 10-20% of profit from game sales.

I've been for a long time considering how well a profit sharing game project would go.

Any thoughts on this?

I know most people scoff at you if you offer up the notion on a forum, but I'm not the only game maker here, surely others have coined the notion.

Perhaps a networking site for indie game collaberation is in order. Most of what I've found is very lacking or seems scamish.

I've always enjoyed making RTS maps. If you don't mind maps that focus more on gameplay than making stuff look pretty (adding details here and there and whatnot) don't hesitate on asking me to help.

I got a laptop running seven, and a netbook with XP.

I would like to help, but I honestly don't even have time for myself :(

I'm always glad to test though :D

Follow the link on top for the latest map editor release and give it a shot. It will hopefully be easier to handle once I code in preset tile combinations, then it can better mimmick map creation in other RTS games.

Besides that I may have to create some additional variations of tiles for better blending. Some terrains lack certain transitions to other sets.

Wow, so many options and tiles, you know what, I'm going to save this and give it my shot in my free time.
