So we had a pre-thanksgiving feast at home since I'll be having one at my parents house and we wanted leftovers.
So this morning when I'm cleaning up the aftermath of cookware and breaking up the left over turkey I find a third leg….Smaller than the main two, and no one noticed it when it was being prepped. I just sort of pulled it out of the side between the main leg and wing. Weird. Didn't seem attached or anything. But maybe watching the video on turkey prep before shipping on Gizmodo will answer that.Or we just have three legged turkeys. Bonus leg! Some progress on voxel modeling too!Since it turns out to be super easy to use voxels in Duke3d's engine, I've started to whip up a few. Drawback, have to use classic render mode. However its pretty fast on a net book, even at max resolution. I'll be using JF's Duke port instead of Eduke because it runs better on more systems. Both are open source to boot.Heres some pics.Voxelized banner and stand. I'll be working on the columns next. And heres a concept enemy, quickly molded in Sculptris and converted into a 64^3 rez voxel. This was in 1024x600, put a bunch of them and everything is still zippy. So things look promising. I'll have to stick with classic rendering instead of opengl, which is fine because the texture smoothing kills the overall look. And voxels don't work in opengl mode.
Oh great, the mutant turkeys are invading.
It was only a matter of time…
