I found that I can detect when an object is in a shadow, and then darken them. A step forward in better looking levels!
Below shows the darkened objects and then those same objects in blue.Next on my list is creating the Jib and Scrap instances, inventory and some basic enemy testing.
Oooh good! That was something I noticed in the earlier demos, looking much better now
A lot of post-map pre-game color tweaking is going to help a lot. The rocks are actually gray, but tagged to be a certain color brown. This will go on to other things as well.
mmmm I like the shadows. Im jealous of this 3D-ness that I never got into.
This game reminds me of Descent II, because of its crazy ass camera shake. Did you get rid of that yet?
Although I may have already said that before somewhere…If you add a "stealth" concept to this game, like sneaking in the shadows makes enemies less likely to see you, and maybe a "crawl" button that will make you move more slowly and make you even less likely to be spotted, I will love you forever!!! :0)
It still needs some tweaking, but its been low on my todo-list at the moment. Maybe I'll be good enough to fix it when I start testing enemies and such.
