I am an Alfredo Based lifeform

Alright, I joined this site when the RPG64D was announced. If anyone has ever been on TDC(The Daily Click) you may remember me as Wiiman. I guess you could say I'm sort of looking for a new start, so here I am. Just a little bit about me, I'm a college kid like so many of you. And yes, I too am being terrorized by final exams. I am also a big fan of music, I play both 5-string banjo and an electric

To be honest, I rarely code stuff anymore, mixture of time and conflicting interest. But I do find some time now and again. I use MultiMedia Fusion 2, a severely underrated program. I do currently have a project in the works called 'Vagabond PI: Swamp Monster Chronicles'. Here's a few quick screenies=

But, I'll be slowing progress on it a bit for my entry into the RPG64D competition! I've got a pretty good idea of what to make. I made a quick mockup of what the title screen just for teasing-

That's all for now! It was either this or I was bouncing another idea around involving, the book of mormon, but not being a mormon I'm sure I would accidentally make something offensive, and I don't think there was a much RPG story room in that idea :) So alright guys, I'm gonna try and get this done!

Why else would anyone make a game about the Book of Mormon?

Actually I had sort of an Indiana Jones ripoff idea involving finding golden plates, while I think the story I got was okay, it just didn't seem to fit into an RPG quite like this idea ;)

You play a 5 string banjo? I like you already. Religion games sound tempting, I say go for it. I don't think any of us know shit from shinola as far as mormons go but my friend is a mormon and I could have him check it out and proofread it if you want? He's hard to offend. My point is, don't let your little second-guessing hold you back. :P

also that game looks like fun so you should finish it like now ._.

Kilin lives in Utah. =3

Welcome to 64D. =D

Well I really don't think there was much RPG potential in my idea about a treasure hunter searching for Golden Plates, so for this competition I'm going to have to go with the 'Song of Dueplin' idea.

And glad to meet everyone!

Seeing no one else said this before, I'm going to take this opportunity and be a cool guy who gets lots of +1s (or not):

Welcome to 64digits, don't subject yourself to the mind altering code, leave your sanity in the red box thing and don't feed the chicken. You don't have to ignore JuurianChi to make his attempts at becoming a meme fail because he isn't here anyway. That wasn't too bad for someone who joined in January was it?

Your game sounds interesting, good luck!

One thing you should do is either add shadow, a light background box, or outline that menu options text. The title is okay because its dark up there, but on the right it is too bright because the island has a similar brightness.

I don't know what it is, but when I see a bad menu I instantly lower my perspective of the game as a whole.

Don't stress over it, but something to keep in mind

No problem, I'm always up for constructive criticism. My big question is whether to have a fancy border around the text box or not :?

I say go with what makes sense and matches with the rest of the game. If the UI has many fancy borders, why not?
