I got about 40 goats on my farm. Those goats are producing goatlings. Some of those goatlings are being eaten, by something we don't about. It may be a coyote, except there are very few coyotes around, so it may be a giant racoon, except that it would have to be fricken' humongoid, or it may be one of the neighbors' dogs, except that they all have small yip-yip dogs. To remedy this situation, we have started to put goats in a pen as soon as we see that they have had goatlings. We have also bought a 1/4 lab 3/4 great pyranees puppy in the hopes that it can be trained to eat the goat eater. We cannot play with the dog or it will not be properly socialized to the goats. But the puppy just keeps running up and begging.
We also have cats on the farm. The cat had three kittens, at the same time as one of our chickens had eggs hatch. When we saw that the cat was getting chicks to feed the kittens, we put all the cats into a cage, where we are feeding them until the chickens are big enough to fend for themselves. However, racoons are attracted to the cat food and try to get into the cage at night, so we set up a live-trap next to the cat cage and we have caught 20 racoons so far this summer, and we take them as far away from the farm as possible before letting them go.And I'm listening to Rammstein. Rammstein ist Sehr gut.Anyway, if you read that whole thing, I have two questions:1. What should we name the dog? It has no name as of the moment.2. Need a kitten? We got three we don't need, they're still too small to get rid of yet, but with a little fattening up, they could be good for some recipes.
