I would like to know what you think makes for a bad game. Is it bad graphics, poor sound, control issues? Is it possible to have a game so bad that it becomes a classic, like "Plan 9 from Outer Space" was so terrible that people like the movie? Give me your thoughts, but please, no unjustified flaming of games, if you say a game sucks, explain why. Why am I asking, you ask? I have submitted a couple not-so-good games, but I do not yet have the title of "Worst Game Ever," and I need something to shoot for.
Hmm, I'd have to say that a bad game includes bad graphics, poor sound, and control issues.
… It's a stupid question, really. If it's poor sound it's obviously going to be worse than if it had good sound. Everything contributes to how good or bad it is, and there's no poitn at when you call a game bad.
-RhysWhat about unfixed areas.
A really bad game isnt just bad, its insulting.
Just like Melee!
jk :Por DTOR
Or Flea!
Bad sound < no sound - I'd rather have no sound than bad sound.
A combination of any of the amount of the following:
==Basic things aren't down, like getting stuck on walls and basic physics issues. Errors in variables…basically anything that's basic but isn't working right==Bad music/sounds. Low-quality MIDIs and sounds from resource packs really turn me off of ANY game.==Crappily-drawn graphics in MSPaint. Lack of animations, graphics not bleinding with each other and things that look just plain wrong are really bad for any game.==Lack of menu/good GUI. Squinting to see your health or not knowing what the hell what menu item does what makes me blow up the .exe==Crappy/boring gameplay. Simplistic and extremely boring gameplay with no effort put into it whatsoever will make me vomit fire.I think that's it.Ok, I'm on it! Now I have to figure out how to make a script to randomize the controls…
