I just wanted to draw attention to my online highscores example. I have updated it to version two, now it uses 39dll and is super x2!
I thought that with the great reaction from the first version, people would appreciate the second. If any of you are wondering, I am still working on Coloraze: Spectrum and this was a needed side project to implement this into the game. I am very close to releasing the next version on the auto-updater, containing security fixes and possibly online fastest scores.Version 2!I strongly recommend downloading the new version!New Features:-Uses 39dll (my custom lite version)-Now uses scripts-Draw_list() function-Ability to list scores backwardsNow It Is:-Faster-Smaller-Reliable-Understandable-Flexible-In-Game Online Highscores V2-Hopefully this will get some of you pumped for fastest times on Coloraze: Spectrum!
Why did you wait until right after I went through all the trouble of modifying your old engine to fit my game? D:
EDIT: Cool anyway though, I'll probably use this version next time. :)Well, I didn't know that!
Besides, it shouldn't be too hard to change it again. And I'm not expecting a V3 (lol, a pun!)WHEEEEE. I'm terrible with PHP and anything it takes to make GM cooperate with something online. I'll check this out later.
I'll check it out, might put it into my new game =)
How is your 39dll custom?, did you just get the source, took out all function you didn't need and then recompiled?
That'd be my guess, Bryan.
Well, kind of, I just deleted all of the scripts you didn't need for my example. I thought that for most people it would save some clutter space.
Why not have the example keep the scripts in a 39dll directory so that there isn't any clutter?
That being said, I also did with vektorael. Was able to get the zipped EXE below 1MB so that I didn't have to go in and recompile it withoutHeh, Kenon and I will hold about, uhh, 70-90% of all the fastest times scores :P
