My Hate of .rar

Okay, I hate rar.

- There have been some games on 64digits that are rar format. Why the hell do they save it as that? Yes, I know, it's compressed. But some poor people such as my self have crappy computer admins that won't let you install anything to un compress them. In some game I said I would rate it low, but I won't. I was just pissed. It's not like you care how big some file is that isn't even on your computer. At least give a link to a zip exe or gm6 file. Most of the games that are rar actually look pretty good. But who the hell cares how good it looks if you can't play it.

School sucks, at least I got only about 20 minutes of homework.

I'm working on an awesome game that doesn't need awesome graphics so I'll try to get it done and post a W.I.P. or something.

Can't you run portable applications? There's got to be a portable extractor. Ah ha! Portable 7Zip.

7-Zip is a file archiver (compression) utility for Windows with a great array of features including:

High compression ratio in new 7z format with LZMA compression

Supported formats:

Packing / unpacking: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR

Unpacking only: RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZH, CHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS

For ZIP and GZIP formats 7-Zip provides compression ratio that is 2-10 % better than ratio provided by PKZip and WinZip

Self-extracting capability for 7z format
