Got a bass.

Planning on getting a decent USB mic. It might sound like a dumb move, but it costs $100 and it's a major step up from what I've been using (a webcam headset). I'll move into the world of professional microphones eventually…

Very nervous about colleges right now. Very. There's only one that I really want to go to, and it has a 34% acceptance rate. Pretty scary stuff. I got my application in a little over a week ago, so now I'm just waiting, waiting, waiting for them to say, "Nope." I'm pretty pessimistic about this kind of stuff.

If you're a guitarist and you like to play with nonstandard tunings, I like using E G E G B E (open Em). It's really easy to transition to major, minor, and sus4 chords. Just barre everything and play around with strings 3 and 5.

34% is relational to who is applying. So that just means you need to be in the top 34 percentile. Which while statistically equivalent, doesn't seem so improbable

Woo bass.

I don't think I will ever need to buy music gear, my dad was a musician who a home studio. Although it's all outdated…

That's a pretty good deal. Outdated equipment might be harder to work with, but it can definitely still give you a good sound.

Also, this is what I bought, if anyone's interested. Very happy with it.

This is why I like you.

What's the comparison? Two different things.
