The Affiliates Section

Affiliates

I really do like them, and think it's a great way for people to get there site out there, but there really messy. I think they should be cleaned up. Number 1, the affiliate images should be hosted on this server, so half of them don't go down like now. Second, the should have a set size. 88x31 seems to be the most popular size, so maybe the others should be resized or removed. The people with 300x300 banners shouldn't get an unfair advantage. As for the submit form, all affiliate requests should go to a moderator. That way, only sites based around GM can get through. A removal button for the user who submitted the affiliate should be available as well. The order could be cleaned up as well. They could be put in a table to the page doesn't stretch so far, or in an iframe.

Maybe these would all be cleaned up with v3, but that won't be happening for a long time. For the time being, this would be a nice addition to 64D. Any one else think these ideas are reasonable?

Affiliates are already queued, but the other ideas are nice.

88x31 isn' the 'most popular' size; long ago your banner needed to be around that to be accepted in the affiliates. Now nobody cares and accepts whatever comes in.

They have since I added affiliates back into 64digits.

Mine does. But I agree with the affiliate removal thing. Or at least let people change the information. The link to my website on here is still .co.nr and I can't change it to .com.
