Another Name Change

Name

Yup. I decided that I too, should change my online alias. Most of you knew me as Cookinater before, some of you didn't know me at all. Either way, you all have one more letter to type when addressing me. Yay.

Gamemaker

As you know, I am horrible at getting anything done. Today is no exception. I even decided ahead of time that a new game I was starting on wasn't going to get finished. I kept my promise.

New PC

For the last few weeks, I've been fairly paranoid over which PC to buy. I really do need one, as the one I am using now is a 5 year old family PC, and runs like a turtle without legs stuck in molasses. I just got the Orange Box, and of coarse can't even run it. I am hoping to spend between $1500 - $2000, but am having a hard time deciding. To make matters more difficult, I have no idea what half the stuff I'm supposed to be buying is. Things like $250 "Physics Accelerator". For this particular part, I did some research and found certain games were built to take advantage of this item. none of which I own. Then you have things like an enhanced Sound Card. I do listen to a lot of music, but is $100 really worth the difference. Anyways, I might wait for the new year where the tax is going down slightly, my GIC (Like a safer bond) will finish, and some computer modules. Any suggestions?

Halloween

I stayed home and handed out candy while my friends partied or trick-or-treated. How fun. It seems every year there is one kid who tries to grab a handful of candy from you. At least this year he had a group of friends, and I denied them candy and told them that the grabber had theirs. Surprisingly, this worked and they all chased him.

To Summarize

I'd do questions, but it seems that's all anyone responds to. So heres a summary of my blog because you've probably forgotten most of it already.

* I changed my name.

* Nothing going on in GM.

* I might buy a new PC, not sure what to buy.

* I stayed home Halloween.

* I summarized my blog.

HP elite PC, not sure how much they are in the states, but they come with either an 8400GS for the lower-end one or an 8800GTS 640mb for the higher-end one. Get it at BestBuy and get a service plan, or you're gonna be screwed: It takes six months for those to get back from HP if you ship them in yourself.

Anyhow, the 8800GTS model isn't on the Canadian website (though it's in the store I work at), here's the link to the one with the 8500GT: Link
