[SG] This Watch is in spades

I just received this e-mail:

Subject: This Watch is in spades

I just got my wife a Bvlgari watch and she really loves it. I can't afford to spend $30 000 on a watch for her, though I would love to; but this did the trick. It looks exactly like the real thing and she's actually glad I didn't spend $30 000 on a watch but saved $29 750 instead. This turned out perfect guys, thanks for providing such a great product, withsuch great prices. This was a great experience ordering from your company.

That was the weirdest e-mail I have ever received, and the weirder part is no one knows my email and I never mention it at all. Now I did some research on what a Bvlgari Watch is:

"Bvlgari watches have been producing watches since the 1940's and its success is largely due to an understanding that the evolution of style must follow changes in times, tastes and habits. The Bvlgari style is, in fact, a balanced mix of classicism and modernity in a continuous search for innovative design and materials, with a special attention towards colour combinations. The sense of volume, the love for linearity and symmetry, and certain details recalling art and architecture are classic characteristics of Bvlgari watches.

Every Bvlgari creation is permeated with a spirit of excellence, hence the attention to detail and the research for absolute quality, typical of each product, coexist with an innate yearn to surpass oneself and respond passionately to the ever changing market's requests.

All Bvlgari watches begin on the drawing board first rendered in water colors. After many refinements and final approval, the best Watch Masters in the world breath life into the synergy of art and precision the world knows as Bvlgari.

From the beginning, painstaking time and revisions go into the comfort, form, feel, and color combinations that make a Bvlgari watch. In the crucible of refined design, the highest watch making traditions, and exacting precision, Bvlgari forges the finest timepieces known to man. All Bvlgari watches are created at Bvlgari Time in Neuchâtel, Switzerland."

So appearently know I am the owner of a expensive Swedish watch company now that makes the finest watches in the world now.

That's a nice watch.

GM stuff:

Haven't been doing much because of school. A few weeks ago I taught myself how to use primitives and vertexes though. I have also been messing around with particles. I might get a game started soon enough, being away from GM has made me want to program something really really bad.

School Stuff:

Remember the partner I had in Spanish that never did anything? Well the teacher decided to change partners and I got some one that does a little more work than he did, but at least he is easy to work with.

I have been struggling in Language Arts because we are writing memoirs. Normally taking about personal experiences would be easy right? Well the sad thing is my life has been pretty boring. I went to school, did homework, watched TV all summer, played video games, and that's about all I have done for 11 years. Only recently has my life begun to get interesting. At least now we are writing poems and poems are short and you can make up similes and metaphors about nothing and the reader would never know. At least I still am getting an A in the class.

In cross country we have started our Peeking Process. It usually starts about 2 weeks before our last meet and it consists of extra hard work outs to get us in tip top condition, if you survive. For some reason they seem to be easier because now I have gotten my "end of the season motivation." For some reason at the end of the season I get really motivated and get a lot better. They also bring us big juicy apples every day now, yummy.

Last night I went to my first football game ever. (that's American football, not soccer) About every one in my grade goes every week so it's pretty sad. For the whole time I just hung around with my friends and occasionally watched the football game, because I was the only one out of my friends that actually would just to see the football game.

Other news:

-I just missed my 1337th hit by 1 view. Did any one get a screenshot of it?

-I have super weird friends, yet my parents are perfectly normal…

-Game Maker 7 is coming out in December!

-This is my 27th blog

This is a mockup of a (freeware/amateur) platformer I will make in the future. You play as Ratz, on the side of the clanrats. I am using the palette from Flink since I like it, and I was inspired to make my own platformer (I made one before, but it had crappy gameplay) when playing Flink, Cave Story and Kitty. (Also, here clanrats are not Skaven, but inspired by them). The multiplication sign in the font is like Flink's.

I couldn't not submit anything on the month of my B-day for craps-sakes. That, and I just wanted to let every body know that I'm not dead yet….Any who, This little sucker was inspiration from my older brother. Ever since I've lost cable and internet, I've had the hugest artist block. I've been out of the pixel scene for a while, so there is a little rust in this piece. One day I just asked my brother what I should draw. He told me to draw a wizard with an orb…and so I did….Bear with me:

Known issues:

* Yes, I do know that the hand is still black and white while the wizard's head is colored in different flesh tones, as this was intended.(though I may change it if too many people have an issue with it)…The same goes with the fact that his arm or robe isn't visible.

*If you notice, through out the piece, it was meant to be pixeled in geometric shapes…just a lil' fyi

* I also already know that it suffers from dither-ea, and that there are a lot of colors in this sucker…I'm a still learning…

* This was all done in M.S. Paint

*Also, if you notice, there is a reflection of the hand( in demon form, I guess) inside the orb. Inside the orb, the reflected hand's middle finger is out of perspective from the actual wizard's finger. The middle finger is kinda sprawled lower than the knuckle. I wish I had some type of reference to show you guys, but I have none at the moment…

* The final weird thing that I noticed was the strange fact that this is my third piece with an enlarged view of the human hand…I hope I don't have a fetish for hands.

Aside from these notes, I'm pretty proud of it, though as of late, some folks here may blow this thing out of the water. Its all good though. Once again, tell me what cha' think. Love it, or hate it, cuz I'm willing to listen…

Take it easy…

a gift to Nina.

done in c64 hires mode. those limitations are; no more than 2 colors per 8 by 8 square in a grid on a 320w by 200h canvas. C64 color palette (so dont complain about the colors). runs on a c64 no problem. made with Project One

i used 2 different styles here, stylistic dither and trangles, as a way to convey her many styles she has.

took some 12 hours over several days, 8 colors.

3-4 hours of work. Lots of empty space but I don't care :)

by the same artist as above

The rightmost part is a bit hurried, I've had this sitting on my hard drive for a while now and I just wanted to get it done.
