[SG] I'm not dead (yet)

Posted by Stained Glass on Oct. 29, 2006, 6 p.m.

Wow, a month since I last blogged. I blame school and homework.

GM stuff:

I haven't really started a real game, but I am finally getting some ideas. Like I heard an adult say once, "Spending all that time on your computer drains your creativity" I didn't believe it for a year and then I realized I ran out of creativity. This past month helped me recover.

I am thinking about making a new level designer (I have created several) that will blow mine and the 2DL IV 2D Level Editor out of the water. It is still processing in my mine and I am planning how it will look. Expect a demo soon, more like eventually.

School:

The first 1/4 of the year has ended now and it seemed to blow by really quickly. Since this year I have ZERO friends in my classes I devote all my attention to the teacher, which has improved my grades a lot. Right now my lowest grade is an A, and the rest are A+'s. I have never got this high of grades and I am surprising myself on how well I am doing. It is probably because I have no life so I study all night long.

La clase de Espanol es muy divertido!

Music:

I have finally put my whole library of music onto my MP3 player. I have been wanting to for about half a year now, but I was too lazy to hook up the cable and do it. Lately I have been listening to Regina Spektor, don't know if you have ever heard of her, but she has a beatiful voice.

Also Weird Al has released his new album "Straight Outta Lynwood" People seem to like it an at Walmart, "White & Nerdy" is the 5th most downloaded song. Awesome song, see the video Here "I want to bowl with the Gangsters" Funny.

Life:

I made a new banner to replace my old one. I like it and I think it represents me for some reason.

Two nights ago I watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" with my family. It really got me into the fall season. For halloween I am going to be a really cheezy ghost. (A white sheet with eye holes)

Another in the series of C64 hi-res pieces. Finished #12 at this year's graphics compo at the X party. The restrictions were, and remain: 2 colors per 8x8 character, out of the fixed 16 color c64 palette.

This is a piece I did for the Light Fantastic challenge over at CGEmpire.com. It's two furry buddies enjoying the night view of the city.

Concept inspired by this clip from the excellent Mighty Boosh radio series.

"It would have seemed a lot bigger without the 'tiny' in front of it"

Peace.
