now as we all know the nintendo Wii the xbox 360 and the ps3 are at 'war'
well this isn't a fanboy blog which is good. what i'm bringing to mind is something that might happen.so lets just say that one of the the gaming companies drops out, im not talking about a specific console im just reffering to any one of them of more.if this does happen then i would probably say that all only services will be terminated correct?if this does happen that would make your console's online status offline.this would be a very bad thing wouldn't it.such a huge lose for you if that console that gets cut is one of yours i mean what would happen to it would you throw it away or would the company ask for returns because they quit while they still had money left?anyway i only have a nintendo Wii so this it would be terrible for me i mean if nintendo dropps out (which hopefully won't happen) there would probably be no online at all since nintendo is only a video game company, they dont't have other things to rely on lilke cameras, GUIs, tvs, ect.so anyway i was just pointing this out.ur because i felt like it, also post your discussion aswell.*note* any flaming will be ‼!‼ destroyed ‼!‼
Nintendo won't drop out of consoles. I doubt any system will. All of the companies are financially stable.
Also, you have to realise the war really isn't quite a war. They each have their pluses and minuses, and they basically work good coexisting.Nintendo isn't going to go out of business anytime soon. They essentially hold the Handheld market. The Wii is also selling really well.Besides, if Nintendo did "Drop out", the Wii's price would skyrocket over time, and titles considered rare would also skyrocket, as it would sorta be like the Dreamcast. But don't get me wrong; all of the companies are profiting, and I doubt any would drop out.Microsoft and Sony are not profiting from their console sales, but Nintendo is. Nintendo is the least likely to drop out.
It won't happen. And the consoles are not at war. The media only makes it seem like it.I honestly doubt any of them would drop out.
Console 'wars' have been around since Atari faced its various spinoff consoles back in the 80's. Overtime I've learned there are three important factors for the survival of a console, that is capability(graphics+sound limits), content(games) and cost. Right now nintendo is about where it was when n64 came out, as far as the variety of games it provides, its sort of sad really since SNES was the fore-runner of the cosoles at its time, paced with Sega Genesis. Kind of like N64 vs Playstation. Its a shame that the Dreamcast fizzled due to lack of games, it was an awesome system, crisper graphics then PS2.
What we have now with Microsoft(filling in for sega's role), Sony and Nintendo is something different then before, mostly because developers are spining out there titles to all three platforms(not all but most). We all know that Sony and MS have the superior graphic handling, but they are practicly the same so they compete for the same customers. Nintendo on the other hand decides to take a new route not often taken, bring more immersion into the gaming experince, although sacraficing graphical handling for economic reasons(which has worked out very well, they were sold out on systems for months). Looking at all of this I'd have to say Nintendo isn't going away for awhile, and it may be a winner take all for Sony VS Microsoft. Why would any of the companies "drop out"? the xbox did quite nicely when the PS2 was the market leader. Alot of users these days have 2/3 of the consoles. I dont have a PS3 so I can comment on it, but in days where to port software is much easier than re-rewriting code, its not really much bother to release a multiplatform game anyway. I have a 360, but the WII is and will stay (IMO) the market leader, why? because people can only take so many FPS's before they start looking elsewhere….I dont console wars really exist anymore either…todays generation when they see another console they think is better usually just buy that aswell…
It wouldn't happen, especially sony and the money they make, the xbox is developing and nintento make lots of money.
But if it did…On BBC news there was an article about EA games planning to develop a global console that can play any games… yeah I know.doubt any system will drop, and I already knew how they depended on each other, or we the gamers depend on all of them being there, because then we don't get ripped off. sure I prefer sony above the rest, but I also like the others too.
(don't judge me and my preference…)WOH! didn't realize this blog was made way back in august!
