I didn't want it to be in hd on this blog because it would be too small, also if you can't watch it in hd because it lags on you then that's sad, but don't worry apparently a new version of flash is coming out that will fix that for slower gfx cards or something.to be fair my computer does not have the card required for the the engine in the vid however i do have this engine on my computer and it still looks smexy in dx10 with my old 9600gt. I will be looking forward to games with this technology and also I can't wait till next summer since I will be upgrading my video card then (this one has will be in use for a year by then and I will be selling it as well)I love how they are getting close to how movies used to look :3cheerios.
Looks like you can emulate DirectX10 by just opening Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro and increasing "contrast", and you can emulate DirectX11 by just opening Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro and clicking "Erode".
Cheap :PSrsly.
DefaultContrast *cough* DX10 *cough*Erode *cough* DX11 *cough*lol cesque
There shouldn't BE any differences in how HL2 looks under different DX's, though. DX10 had a few cool new features, but DX11 actually looks very promising. Crazy-ass shit there. In the end you still need a crazy computer with monster video cards to pull those graphics off.
I hate these demos because I know that when I get my hands on these games they will look like crap, and by the time I can afford a new card even more demanding games come out.I will never pay >$300 for a videocard. That depends. => dx9 no not really but under that there are differences with the shaders.
The sad truth…

@cesque it is more than just that, the maps used have to be created so you aren't using a generated map for the bumping. I do agree that dx10 didn't add too much but from what I've been research on dx11 has made me impressed
@PY yup@josea actually he was using a ATI 5870 which is omfg 400 dollars!1 well as I said I'm waiting till the summer when the price goes down, currently ATI has a monopoly on dx11 cards since nvidia isn't releasing there line till january of next year. It is possible to get a 140 dollar 5750 which is still good.@myth you got the last one wrong. The guy in the video has no clue what he's talking about.
graphics whores never do, they just buy the latest tech because it looks awesome
