A lot of my friend play or have played Maplestory. This is a 2D MMORPG with real kiddy looks. It looks like this:

I know, it is real kiddy. The game isn't too bad but the game has one huge problem. Hackers.

From everyone I know that play the game only 2 are legit. None hacking.

The rest hacks or has hacked. The game does a lot to get rid of the hackers but cannot succeed. If hackers are banned they just make new accounts and start all over again.

Hackers think it is fun to do this but I do not see the point in it. Turn on the computer, start the hack and do something else. I know it isn't that easy, but this is basicly what hackers do

The thing is, the game is free. You can buy special extra's like pets and clothing. Who buys these extra's? Exactly, Hackers. So if they just ban the lot, they won't have no cash anymore and the game would have to stop. This is only an example of a game with serious hacking problems. I know there are more of those and I just want to say:

WELL DONE HACKERS!!!

If you wan't to hack yourself just search in google or download Cheatengine.

We make games. So we have to prevent hackers from hacking our games. This can only be done if you know what hakcers do, so that is a good reason to try it yourself. In the game I am about to submit I have tried to include some antihack things. I'll give the game to one of the hackers in my class and let him hack it. See what happens…

Notice: I'm going away for sailing contests this evening and after that I am going to France for school. So I'll be away for 2 weeks. The game I'm making is delayed again. [:-(]

Heh…hacking is fun.

No, I haven't really done it before. But yeah, Maple Story is a read kiddish looking game, but it has a lot of features.

Hackers are bad!

They are people that need to get a job.

If they can hack, they can work!

Plus they would get money for their efforts too!

They hack Maplestory because it is impossible to further decrease the fun value of that game… Due to the fact that it's non-existant.

Heh, my brother is playing maple. He is using hacks all the time >_>

I believe learning about how to hack and also using it sometime is "good", because you learn about security and how to prevent someone from hacking your game, site or whatever.

Dude, I used to play CMS, and a bit of global Maplestory. I was also at one point an admin at Mapletip, but I left all that to die, simple because MS just plains sucks and there are stupid hackers everywhere. The game is only for social reasons nowadays, only the noobs bother to level - if there was some sort of PvP system I'd play again, only to be fouled by hacks. Those GMs don't seem to care, huh?
