First off, I definitely broke the 7k hits mark since my last blog :p
So yay for that. I don't expect this to be a very long blog (but I've thought that before…). Anyway, to go into the whole "life" category, I can sum it up to say it's pretty much sucking right now. After a week or two of it being really good, down the crapper it goes. But, that's to be expected, right? Now that that's outta the way, on to the purpose of the title.I've been conceptualizing something to occupy some of my time. Come up with the idea before, but only gave it a half-assed attempt (and that was a quite a while ago). The point is to "bend space". Just a simple (or not so simple) distortion effect that bends the environment. This would be handy for a game where the lead character uses some sort of telekinesis or other form of hands-free interaction with the world. In its simplest form, this would be pushing the environment out from a point. In a more complicated version, it may add some distortion waves in with it to make it look more flowy and constant. My old method was a textured polygon whose vertexes moved in conjunction with a certain object, or rather, position. Naturally, this wouldn't work very well at all because of the way a polygon is textured. I now realize I'm gonna have to get into one of those subjects I've never touched and see what I can get from there. This subject would be surfaces. "*gasp* You've never used surfaces!??!?" Nope, never found a use for them. Anyway, that's a bit longer than I had planned, but I don't have much else to add.Shot down 7147 n00bs at time of blog

Do you use a side-to-side shotgun or an over-and-under?
