In unrelated news, I've updated the scoring system.Grazing now does more than add 10 points! For every 100 bullets you graze (trust me that's not that hard I can get 2,000 by Stage 3) the value of Bonus Time squares increases by 10.This means, above all else, that if you can graze 5,600 bullets, then Bonus Time Squares will be worth more than the possible amount outside of Bonus Time.2,560!Okay, but still. Since a lot of future cards are intensely graze-heavy, this is infinitely farmable.I would love to see Bonus Time squares start giving the player 4,000 points. But hey, 20,000 graze shouldn't be that hard, right?
Those bullet patterns are looking damn hectic :D .
After Jamestown left me severely disappointed, a shooter like this would really help. I'd like to play this game, d'you have any estimates of when a demo/version will be out?Purtiful. I second SMP.
first thought: where's kilin's half-page comments? jkjk
looks great though, and i'm generally not fond of bullet hells in GM. :DAmmunition costs must be really prohibitive for those guys.
I left my half-page comments in a PM, thank you very much.
"So long as it is navigable without bombing"
:VTaboo "Kagome, Kagome".
Actually, that looks fine, so long as the bullets up top don't all rain down on the same place. Agh, I wish I had the same inspiration for patterns that you do; I'm a little stuck on my own bullet hell right now.Plus my sprites and sounds suck. =<If you mean that they always travel in the same way, then no. The first bullets always are aimed directly at the player.
Ahahaha. I could always use better sprites myself.Touhou sprites and sounds are better than none I guess. The downside is that you have to replace them eventually.
And what I meant was that the player doesn't get them all at once. There are some clusters there that would be impossible to get through if everything was, for example, traveling downward (which I assume they're not). No, they aren't going downward, they're going straight. It's one of those deals where the enemy shoots them in a set of directions and the directions spin around.
Besides, I decided not to use bubble bullets for this. It was much too dense-looking.And now it is BOSS TIME.Details soon.
