I currently need to shorten dramatically the time taken during the midboss fight, because currently it takes up half of the stage's song :/As for the Stage 4 boss, look here and here (Warning, TVTropes!), except instead of "two," think "five" :D

Yay.Of course, 80 of those attempts were retries, and looking into my history shows that I've really only bothered to get past Ran 12 of those 110 times, so whatevsHere's my Phantasm.iirc it follows mainly the same pattern: Overwhelming familiarity in the beginning, and then uncountable deaths near the end.On the bright side, I held up fairly well against Boundary of Life and Death.Most of my attempts were the times I retried because things didn't go according to plan (IE a random death or poor positioning forced me to waste a bomb). Even in that run and my actually successful run, I screwed up at places I shouldn't have, and managed to finish her regardless.
Ran is the only extra stage boss I've spent time grinding. I give up after a few tries on Flandre because of the vast difference between EoSD and any other games. I don't like Mokou, not a fan of Suwako, and I can't even dream of getting to the extra stage on later games, which are ridiculously hard (though I almost got a 1CC clear on SA), then was forced to grind Utsuho for forty minutes due to random screwups. So yeah, I like Ran and Yukari a lot more.Also, I have no idea how to view these replays.I clicked those TVTropes links a while ago and now I totally forgot what I was doing.

To view a replay, download it, and then place it into your replay folder in the <Touhou game> folder. Open the game and select "Replays" in the main menu, and it'll be the number that is indicated by the filename, i.e. "th7_05.rpy" is a replay for Perfect Cherry Blossom, and will appear listed in the #5 spot in your replays menu.
