These tropes pervade the shottypes present in the game.

Someone on the GMC said that they preferred to use lasers.

I nearly laughed at them, it's that bad.

Gear Axis Ship

Medium Unfocused Speed

Slow Focused Speed

(Standard shots are those boring blue bullets everyone gets)

Ranged-focused standard shot

Small graze radius

Generally loses less charge points on lower difficulties

(EVERYONE LOSES 10% ON ZERO AND 50% ON EXTRA)

Bomb: Horribly ranged, 3 seconds, 28,000 damage

Blast missiles: Average damage, hard to aim unfocused, horrible range focused

Homing missiles: Shit damage, but literally inescapible by enemies on the screen

Solar Hydra Ship

Slow Unfocused Speed

Medium Focused Speed

Unfocused wide range standard

Focused forward standard

Wide graze radius

Generally loses less charge points on higher difficulties

Bomb: Hits whole screen, 4 seconds, 21,000 damage

Lasers: High damage, piercing, worst range forever

Needles: Medium damage, rapid fire, unfocused wide ranged, focused forward

Wanderer 6D-4 (for those of you who don't know (that is to say all of you), this is the S4 midboss)

Fast Focused Speed

Widest range unfocused standard

Most restrictive range forward focused standard

Average graze radius

Loses 20% charge on death on all difficulties

Bomb: 18 rotating mines, high damage, explosions deal splash damage, 5 seconds, total ~31,000 damage

Satellites: difficult as motherfucking shit to set up right: they follow and scatter around you when unfocused, but lock position when focused. If you manage, they cut through enemies like flaming swords through warm butter, but otherwise will miss completely at other times, or they're too far away because the bullets they shoot have diminishing returns. It ranges from 4000 dps (WHICH IS A LOT.) at maximum power to 80 dps at minimum.

Boomerangs: Low damaging, but piercing bullets that rebound after a while. Medium range unfocused, but will be more forward focused when in focus mode. Average fire rate. Requires you to sit in the enemies' faces to use effectively.

(The original plan was to block off the 6D4 as a player until you've beaten the game.

Partly to catalouge the ship shottypes (people have asked before) and also to ask for people's opinions on "balance" because I don't want 99% of my playerbase using the same shot

Furthermore, do I publicly post a version of the game that doesn't support pause or correct save/load so people can try their hands at the in-progress versions of the new features?
